Introduction
5 points – Identifies the Topic of PSA clearly
3 points – Alludes to the Topic of PSA, but not clear if that is the topic
1 point – Topic is not identified

Content
Information
5 points – Gives 4 important, supportive facts about the topic
3 points – Gives 3 some supportive facts, but also some opinions
1 point – No or very little facts, mostly opinions about the topic

Effectiveness of PSA
5 points – Creates awareness or shows importance or promotes change effectively through a simple, clear, single message
3 points – Gives facts, but message of the PSA is not completely clear what the listener should do
1 point – Does not create awareness or promote a change. No single or clear message

Length
5 points – between 30 – 60 seconds long
3 points – shorter or longer by 10 seconds
1 point – shorter or longer by more than 10 seconds

Delivery of PSA
Script
5 points – Well rehearsed, smooth delivery and pacing
3 points – Delivery is hesitant and choppy
1 point – Appears unrehearsed and delivery is uneven

Voice
5 points – Loud, clear voice with good enunciation
3 points – Soft voice, but enunciation is good
1 point – Hard to hear or to understand

Slogan
5 points – has a seated slogan that is repeated 3 times during the announcement
3 points - the slogan is heard once during the announcement
1 point – there is no slogan for the announcement

Creativity
5 points – students use a rap, limerick, or known characters to hook the audience
3 points – Drama is occasionally used in the PSA
1 point - Attention is not held by the audience

Graphics
Background
5 points – Fades In and Out before and after PSA or quietly in background throughout the PSA
3 points – Somewhat Fades in or out or background music a little too soft or loud
1 point – Abruptly enters or exits (No or Poor fade in or out) or background music too loud or no music at all
